Board of Directors

Sarah McDonnell

“I believe in the efforts of the EDC and appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Board; the work the EDC does is key to development in our area. With diverse perspectives considered, our area can attract and retain talent, encourage inclusion in decisions, and contribute to quality of life for the dynamic individuals choosing Grant County for their homes and businesses.”

Since 2009, Sarah has worked in various roles at Clear Risk Solutions. As the Director of the Non Profit Insurance Program (NPIP), Sarah works closely with the Board of Directors on administration and program operations. Administration of NPIP includes mission-centric work and the continual development of: structure and health, coverage and marketability, growth initiatives and strategy, member services, governance model, state and community presence, member engagement, partnerships, and compliance. In 2015, she worked to change state legislation for NPIP to operate as it does today. Today, NPIP serves nearly 900 nonprofits in Washington. In addition to her role with Clear Risk Solutions, Sarah has been a City Council member for the City of Ephrata, since 2018 and enjoys the Grant County area, lifestyle, opportunities, and people. Sarah received her Associate in Accounting from Big Bend Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of New Mexico. Sarah has her Washington State P&C license and has earned her Certified Program’s Leader (CPL) designation. In her free time, Sarah enjoys the occasional effort to put paint on canvas but her passion is the outdoors with her family and friends in activities like hiking, backpacking, camping, and kayaking.
